Senator Matthew Pitsch
Senator Mathew Pitsch serves in the Arkansas Senate as Majority Whip and represents District 8 which includes the second largest city in Arkansas, Fort Smith, and most of Sebastian County. He is also the former Arkansas House of Representatives House Majority Leader.
Pitsch serves as Chairman of the Insurance and Commerce Committee, Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Transportation, Technology & Legislative Affairs, and Vice Chairman of the Advanced Communications and Information Technology Joint Committee. He sits as Vice Chairman of the ALC Lottery Oversight Subcommittee and serves as Vice Chairman of the Legislative Joint Auditing-State Agencies Committee. In addition, Pitsch is Co-Chairperson of the Sportsman’s Caucus.
He attended the University of Missouri-Rolla, where he obtained his Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Management. Pitsch owns several business ventures and is also the Transportation Director for Western Arkansas.
Senator Pitsch is a member of the Sebastian County Adult Education Board and served as the Past Chairperson of the Arkansas Oklahoma Fair and Rodeo Board. He also previously served on both the United Way Board and the Manufacturing Executive Association Board. Pitsch serves as the Chair of Bethel Lutheran Church, is a father of four and currently resides in Fort Smith with his wife, Seanna.
