Roger joined the Commission in late 2019 as a Deputy Director. His work includes statewide responsibilities overseeing the Commission’s work with a special emphasis in rehabilitating the Agency’s aging natural infrastructure such as lake dams, levees and green-tree reservoirs.
Prior to joining AGFC, Roger worked for The Nature Conservancy for 20-years primarily focused on the ecological restoration of southeastern U.S. landscapes. He earned a master’s degree in wildlife biology from Texas A&M Commerce and completed his undergraduate work in forestry and wildlife at Stephen F. Austin State University.
