Nick joined MUCC in June 2017. He previously worked as a staff reporter at Cadillac News, where he covered Cadillac Area Public Schools, the area's natural resources and court cases. He is a graduate of Central Michigan University and holds a bachelor's degree in journalism, with a focus in news-editorial, and a minor in media, design, production, and technology.
Nick's passion for conservation was ignited when he discovered fly fishing in 2010. Since then, he has spent countless hours searching for lunker browns sipping dry flies, throwing mouse patterns in the black of night and chucking nymphs on the Pere Marquette, Pine, Manistee, and Au Sable rivers. He also enjoys bow hunting, hiking, bird hunting and training his two bird dogs — Calvin, a Small Münsterländer, and Summit, a German shorthaired pointer.
