Kristian Stout

Kristian Stout is director of innovation policy at the International Center for Law & Economics (ICLE). His current work focuses on competition, telecommunications, and artificial intelligence policy, with particular attention to how law and economics can inform regulatory design.

He has previously been a fellow at the Internet Law & Policy Foundry and the Eagleton Institute of Politics. Before practicing law, Kristian worked as a technology entrepreneur and as a lecturer in the Computer Science Department at Rutgers University.

Kristian has served on the board of the New Jersey Leadership Program and chaired the Asset Forfeiture Working Group for the New Jersey State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. He was also a member of the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee.

He graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers University School of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Rutgers Journal of Law and Public Policy.
