Hank Worsech
Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks

Hank Worsech is the 25th Director of Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. Director Worsech takes pride in being tasked with stewarding the vast fish, wildlife, and recreation resources that make Montana, Montana. Worsech learned to love the outdoors from childhood where he grew up hunting and fishing in the Northwoods of Minnesota. He and his wife moved to Montana in 1990 and never looked back. Over the years he has been fortunate to work in several different jobs, including as the executive director of the Montana Department of Labor & Industry’s Board of Outfitters and as a senior claims adjuster with the Montana State Fund. The two eras of Hank’s life that had the biggest influence were his 10 years with the U.S. Marine Corps and the 17 years he spent here at FWP, from 2002 to 2019, as chief of the department’s Licensing Bureau. Honesty, integrity, and decisiveness are the key components to Worsech’s leadership skills that continue to play an integral role in maintaining FWP’s commitment to the state of Montana.
